Poppy is our Creative Coordinator at 224 Youth Moves, she’s passionate about creating safe, supportive, and inclusive spaces where young people can explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop a strong sense of self.
After graduating with a creative degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, she returned home to Bristol where she has spent her time working with a diverse range of young people across the city through youth work, mentoring, community outreach, and creative workshops. Her experience also includes volunteering as a teacher in India and delivering creative wellbeing programmes that use art and imagination as tools for self-expression, reflection, and personal growth.
Poppy takes a people-centred approach to her work and believes that creativity extends far beyond making art. She sees creativity as a way of thinking that nurtures essential life skills, including resilience, curiosity, problem-solving, self-awareness, and confidence. By focusing on the creative process rather than the outcome, she encourages young people to embrace experimentation, learn from challenges, and discover their unique strengths.
Through her work, Poppy is committed to empowering young people to engage with the world around them, broaden their horizons, and feel confident in their ability to shape their own futures.
