Fitness Suite Youth Worker (Level 2 PT Qualification Required)
JOB TITLE: Fitness Suite Sessional Youth Worker (Level 2 PT Required)
CONTRACT: Permanent
Part time from 8 to 24 hours per week
We’re looking for somebody on Wednesday, Friday & Saturday evenings
PAY: £13.08 per hour
LOCATION: 224 Youth Zone (South Bristol)
REPORTING TO:Youth Work Team Leaders / Coordinators
LINE REPORTS:This role will involve the supervision of volunteers assisting with your sessions.
Are you a qualified Level 2 Personal Trainer who wants to use your skills for something more meaningful?
At 224 Youth Zone, we are creating a space where children and young people can feel safe, build confidence, and develop healthy habits for life. Our fully equipped gym will be at the heart of our Senior offer for young people aged 13 to 18, and you could play a key role in making it a welcoming and inclusive space.
This is not a typical gym role. You will use fitness to connect with young people, support their wellbeing and personal development, and help them grow in confidence not just physically, but socially and emotionally too.
If you are passionate about giving back to your community and want to make a real difference through a youth work approach, we would love to hear from you.
Applicants must hold a Level 2 Gym Instructor or Personal Training qualification.

Deputy Team Leader, Holiday Club
JOB TITLE: Deputy Team Leader – Holiday Club
CONTRACT: Permanent
Part time 30 hours per week: This role involves regular evening & weekend shifts
PAY: £30,282 (Full-Time Equivalent)
LOCATION: 224 Youth Zone (South Bristol)
REPORTING TO: Head of Play, Youth & Partnerships
LINE REPORTS: Coordinators / Sessional Team / Volunteers
At 224 Youth Zone, we believe every young person deserves a safe, inspiring place to grow, explore, and thrive.
As a key member of the delivery team, you will take a lead role in shaping and delivering our Holiday Club provision for children aged 8–12 during school holidays, creating a high-quality, engaging, and well-coordinated programme that young people are excited to be part of. Alongside this, you will support all Youth Zone sessions, bringing energy and creativity to both the Junior Club (ages 8–12) and the Senior Club (ages 13–19, or up to 25 for those with additional needs).
You will play a central role in creating a vibrant, inclusive, and safe environment for children and young people, ensuring that every session offers meaningful experiences and opportunities. Your passion for putting young people first will shine through in everything you do, helping to make 224 Youth Zone a place where they feel welcomed, valued, and inspired.
