Global financial services company Computershare has pledged its support to 224 Youth Zone by becoming a Founder Patron.
They join a growing group of businesses and philanthropists showing their commitment to investing in the young people of the city. This crucial support will ensure that thousands of young people across South Bristol have access to world-class facilities, fresh opportunities, and dedicated support to help them reach their full potential.
Once open 224 will engage up to 5000 young people per year, providing up to 40 hours of delivery per week, seven days a week, offering a safe and inclusive place for young people aged 8–19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs), membership will cost just £5 a year and 50p per visit.
Members will be able to access an incredible range of activities, from sports, climbing, and music to cooking, media, and enterprise, all supported by trained youth workers who provide a safe space for young people to belong, develop skills, and build confidence.
Beyond the activities, 224 Youth Zone will be a place where young people can build confidence, learn new skills, and develop positive relationships that help them discover their passions. It will also create new local jobs, volunteering opportunities, and partnerships that strengthen the wider community.
