Local Councillors show support for new Youth Zone
On Monday 6th October, CEO Matt Justice hosted local councillors from South Bristol on a site tour of 224 Youth Zone to provide updates on the project and showcase the incredible facilities the new Youth Zone will offer.

The tour came at an exciting time as the building’s interior begins to take shape, with preliminary works on the climbing wall underway, and significant progress made on the outdoor Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). Attendees were able to clearly envisage the transformation of this site as it develops into a vibrant hub of energy and opportunity for young people.

Working in collaboration with the local community is vital to the success of this project, and the support from local ward councillors highlights the shared commitment to young people in South Bristol.
Due to open in spring 2026, 224 Youth Zone will provide up to 40 hours of delivery per week, supporting up to 175–250 young people on each session. The Youth Zone will be open 7 days a week, including during school holiday, providing
We are already working with partners and local organisations to deliver an exciting programme for young people aged 8-19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, including inclusive sessions for SEND young people and young disabled people.
Young people will be able to enjoy:
- Over 20 activities every evening
- Music and creative arts
- Sports and activities
- Enterprise and employability
- Health and wellbeing
- Hot meals for £1
All for just a £5 annual membership and £0.50 per visit to access all activities.
