We’re excited to launch our ‘Meet Our Ambassadors’ video series, this month we introduce you to Paul Holbrook, an award-winning filmmaker and proud South Bristolian whose journey and achievements make him an inspiring role model for young people in our community.
Paul has carved out a remarkable career in the film industry, with his work celebrated at festivals around the world. But what makes his story especially powerful is his deep connection to South Bristol and his determination to show young people that their background doesn’t limit their potential. Paul’s success proves that talent, creativity, and resilience can take you far, no matter where you start.
As an ambassador for 224 Youth Zone, Paul brings not only his professional expertise but also his passion for giving back to the community he grew up in. He understands the barriers many young people in South Bristol face, from lack of opportunity to low confidence, and he knows how transformative it can be to have someone believe in you. Through his support, Paul is helping us shine a light on the importance of creativity, storytelling, raising aspirations, broadening horizons, and inspiring new futures.
This video is the first in a series where our ambassadors will share why they support 224 Youth Zone, what drives them personally, and how they hope the Youth Zone will change lives for young people. From sports stars to musicians, artists to community leaders, each ambassador represents the opportunities that become possible when young people are given the chance to thrive.
We’re proud to begin this journey with Paul’s story, and we can’t wait to share more voices from across our ambassador family, we will be releasing a new video every month so you can get to know some of our passionate ambassadors.
